Iliopoulos Aggelos received the Environmental Engineering Diploma in 2002 and the Ph.D. degree in 2010 in nonlinear time series analysis and modeling of geodynamical and satellite signals, from Democritus University of Thrace, Xanthi, Greece. Currently, he is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Thessaloniki, Greece, as well as at Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS), Athens, Greece. His research interests include the experimental and theoretical analysis of Complex Systems and Complexity, namely nonlinear time series analysis, nonextensive and non-Gaussian statistics, chaotic dynamics, self organized criticality, turbulence, intermittency, anomalous diffusion, multi-fractals, prediction (machine learning) etc, while he has co-authored numerous papers concerning space plasmas, material instabilities, earthquakes, economics, brain dynamics, DNA. |
