Biography |
||
Paola Berchialla is Assistant Professor in Biostatistics at the Department of Clinical and Biological Sciences of the University of Torino. She received a BS in Mathematics from the University of Torino and a PhD degree in Applied Statistics from the University of Firenze. During her PhD she got a scholarship for the Department of Statistics at the Oxford University. Her expertise lies in statistical methodological development as well as general statistical applications. The methodological component of her research includes spatial statistical models, Bayesian networks and Bayesian design for clinical trials. Her interdisciplinary research includes collaborations with physicians, geneticists, psychologists and nutritionists, among others. |

My general area of research focuses on Bayesian Design in Clinical Trials, Bayesian methods, Machine Learning and Data Mining techniques and their applications in Biostatistics and Quantitative Risk Assessment. |
