Working as a senior principal scientist in the field of Nanotechnology/ Biotechnology in the Biology and Biotechnology Division of the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad, India. Joined Regional Research Laboratory and worked for PhD as a Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Fellow in 1983 and received doctoral degree from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India. Later, continued research at the same place as CSIR Post-doctoral Fellow and CSIR Research Associate. In 1984, started employment as a scientist at Regional Research Laboratory which is later renamed as Indian Institute of Chemical Technology in 1989 and is continuing till today. Published several research articles in national and international journals as well as research books.

My area of research mainly focuses on the synthesis of various noble metal nanoparticles (Ag, Au, Pd and Pt) by using plant materials and studying their impact on the plant, soil and pest insects, preparation of nano-formulations. Preparation of monodispersed nanoparticles from plants which has negligible ecotoxicological effects on non-target organisms and studied for their significance in agricultural and medicinal sector with commercial application.
