Biography

Dr.S.Poopathi is an eminent scientist in the field of ‘Medical Entomology’. Has over 25 years of research and teaching experience in Biomedical research. He completed his MSc in zoology from A.N.J.A. College, Sivakasi and MPhil in zology from A.P.A.A. College, Palani in 1984 and 1985 respectively. He Received his Ph.D in entomology from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, India in 1990. He secured Best Researcher Award for excellence in Professional & Industry in 2014.
 

Research Interest

molecular biological studies on purification and characterization of mosquitocidal toxins, B.sphaericus resistant gene identification, identification of novel bacteria from marine resources (sea-shore) for mosquito vector control and in addition recycling the biological wastes from environment and vector surveillance.
