Prahallada M C, Professor of CE, completed his BE (Civil) and MTech from Visvesvaraya Technological University and PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. Andrew Kusiak is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. He is interested in applications of computational intelligence and innovation science in manufacturing, engineering design, healthcare, and energy, in particular, wind farm performance, wind turbine control, diagnostics, predictive engineering, power optimization, and management. Dr. Kusiak has published numerous books and technical papers in journals sponsored by professional societies, such as AAAI, ASME, IEEE, IIE, ESOR, IFIP, IFAC, INFORMS, ISPE, and SME. He speaks frequently at international meetings, conducts professional seminars, and consults for numerous corporations. Dr. Kusiak has served on editorial boards of over forty journals. Roberto Guglielmo Citarella born in Milan on February the 2nd 1969. Received the Laurea degree "summa cum laude" in 1994 in Mechanical Engineering and the Ph.D. in “Design and Construction of Machines” in 1999, both at University of Naples “Federico II”. In 1996 received the diploma for a master in Business Administration (MBA) at the school “Stoà” in Naples. Since January the 3rd 2005 is Assistant Professor of "Construction of Machines" in the Department of Industrial Engineering (DIIN) at the University of Salerno. He was Visiting Researcher at the Wessex Institute of Technology (in 1996), Southampton (UK) and at the Queen Mary and Westfield College (in 1998 and 2000) in London (UK). He was member of: International Scientific Advisory Committee for the international conference “Fatigue Damage of Materials 2003”, Referee group for the first european call FP7 Transport-Aeronautics, organisation commettee for the international conference BeTeq 2007. He is Fellow of Wessex Institute of Technology. His main topics of research are: BEM, Vibrational Acoustics, Bioengineering, Fracture Mechanics, Thermomechanical Fatigue. He has published nearly 90 technical papers on international journals, book chapters and conference proceedings. He serves as reviewer for several international journals and participated in the scientific commettee of several international conferences. Taebok Kim is a currently associate professor in the Graduate School of Logistics at Incheon National University, Korea. He received his BS, MS and PhD degrees in Industrial Engineering from Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), Korea. He was a senior manager at the SCM Group of Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. His research interests are in production management, integration policy in supply chain management and production scheduling. Pierluigi Siano received the M.Sc. degree in electronic engineering and the Ph.D. degree in information and electrical engineering from the University of Salerno, Salerno, Italy, in 2001 and 2006, respectively. In 2013 he received the Italian National Scientific Qualification as Full Professor in the competition sector electrical energy engineering, including power systems and power electronic subjects. Currently, he is a Professor with the Department of Industrial Engineering, University of Salerno. His research activities are centered on the integration of renewable distributed generation into electricity networks and smart grids, on power converters for renewable distributed generation control and for electrical machine control, on the optimal design of power converters, on the application of soft computing methodologies to analysis and planning of power systems. In these fields, he has published more than 150 technical papers including more than 70 international journal papers that received more than 1200 citations with an H-index equal to 19 according to Scopus. Dr. Siano is Editor of Intelligent Industrial Systems, Springer and of the International Journal of Advancements in Power Electronics & Digital Devices, Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, member of the editorial board of more than 35 International Journals. Dr. Abu Al-Rub is currently an Associate Professor of Mechanical and Materials Science and Engineering at Masdar Institute, UAE. Masdar Institute is established in collaboration with MIT. Dr. Abu Al-Rub has been a Professor at Texas A&M University-College Station-USA. Also, he is an Adjunct Professor at Air Force Institute of Technology of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, USA. Professor Abu Al-Rub primary research field of interest is on the development of macro/micro/nano-mechanics-based constitutive models and computational tools that can be used effectively in guiding the design of advanced materials and structural systems. He has published one book and over 200 publications. Dr. Abu Al-Rub is a member of ASCE, ASME, AIAA, SES, and ASEE. In 2011, he received Outstanding New Mechanics Educator Award from the American Society for Engineering Education. Recently, he has been selected among the Scholar Google 100 Most Cited Authors in Civil Engineering.

Dr Hojjati has been joined Concordia University as an Associate Professor in July 2012. Before that he was working at National Research Council Canada (NRC) for almost ten years, during which, he was responsible for working with different industrial partners to develop and implement composite manufacturing R&TD programs. he had been involved in the definition, planning and implementation of many industrial projects related to automated fibre placement. This includes fabrication of an aircraft nose fuselage section, a helicopter tail boom, and an isogrid structure.

Dr. Hojjati’s research interests are in composite material design, analysis and manufacturing. This includes process modeling, material characterization, automated fiber placement, hot drape forming, compression molding, and autoclave curing.

Dr. Raman Balu is a graduate (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering and a post-graduate (M.S. by research) in Aeronautical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. He joined the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) of ISRO in 1971 and has been working on thermal protection system (TPS) design and Secondary Injection Thrust Vector Control (SITVC) systems development for all the Indian launch vehicles. He designed and developed the air pre-heating system for the India’s first hypersonic wind tunnel at VSSC. He got his doctorate in Aerospace Engineering from the IISc, Bangalore in 1990 for his work 3-D Nozzle flows with Thrust Vector Control. He has about 100 publications in national and international journals and conference proceedings and has published more than 200 internal reports in VSSC. He is a life member of the Aeronautical Society of India and also the Astronautical Society of India .He retired as Group Director, Aerodynamics and Aerothermodynamics Group, VSSC in October 2006, after 35 years of service in ISRO. Presently, he is working as Dean ( Research ), ACE College of Engineering, Thiruvallam, Trivandrum. Prior to this he has served as, Dean, School of Mechanical Engineering, Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education (NICHE) , Kumaracoil, KK District, Tamil Nadu, from 2006 to 2014. Andrej Ivanco is a Research Assistant Professor at the Clemson University. His research focuses on hybrid vehicle system level optimization, stochastic and real-time control, route planning, population driving pattern analysis and hardware in the loop testing. Prior to joining the Clemson University Department of Automotive Engineering in 2012, he worked for two years as a Research Fellow at the University of Michigan AutoLab.
