The floor area for Controlled Ambient storage has increased to 26,000 ft2, and Cold and Freezer has doubled in floor area to 12,000 ft2 and 2,500 ft2 respectively. Our new facility was built with very latest building upgrades in mind, such as enhanced sound and heat insulation, ensuring that the facility remains a safe and conducive work environment.
• Playing its part in keeping the earth green, the company cuts down on its energy consumption by employing a new technology of Climatic Control in the entire facility. The modulating reactivating humidifier helps to eliminate waste by varying the supply of energy to its heaters. Similarly, the facility’s new air-conditioning system uses a chilled water system with fan coil units, translating to lower energy consumption and lower maintenance costs in the long run.
• A Building Monitoring system (BMS) has also been set up to provide more timely status updates on major equipment within the facility. In addition, the BMS enhances security, access controls and also improves reaction time in contingencies, with backup generators that are able to maintain the power supply to the huge facility for up to 6 hours in the event of a power failure.
• As with all international establishments, security is an important factor to ensure the safety of the facility and the wellbeing of its staff members. With an increased number of CCTV units and a new and improved optical biometric finger scan system, the facility provides a higher level of security to its inhabitants, making safety the number one priority. In the unlikely case of an emergency, the facility is also well-equipped to continue functioning on its generator which can last up to 6 hrs.
