A Note on Crystals and its Method of Solution
Crystals' regular lattice structure scatters x-rays, electrons, and neutrons, making crystallographic investigations possible. Nuclei have several energy levels that are widely spaced, resulting in gamma ray spectra. A magnetic field can separate the energy of distinct nuclear spin states, allowing for nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy.
