A Review on Asymmetric Cryptography ? RSA and ElGamal Algorithm

Abstract

Cryptography is used to make secure data transmission over networks. The algorithm selected for cryptography should meet the conditions of authentication, confidentiality, integrity and non-repudiation.The prevention of information from unauthorized access is the main concern in the area of cryptography.There are many cases where we need secure file transmission for example in banking transactions, e-shopping etc. RSA and El- Gamalalgorithm is asymmetric key cryptography also called Public Key cryptography.In this paper we are reviewing the two Asymmetric algorithms- RSA and El-Gamal.
