A Study of Different Oscillator Structures

Abstract

Voltage controlled oscillators are critical block in analog circuit. It is integral part of phase locked loop, clock and data recovery circuit and frequency synthesizer. This paper presents review of different oscillator structure used in various applications. Also this paper proposes a new oscillator design which has high tuning range and less chip area.
