Assessment of Role of GIS for Natural Disaster Management : A Critical Review

Abstract

In recent years, Remote Sensing and Geographical Information System (GIS) technologies has been the object of considerable interest to all bodies concerned with space and in particular emergency services and disaster management. In this paper we, address the issues regarding contemporary works on role of GIS in disaster Management. This paper is a review of some interesting and milestone research work carried out so far on the context of disaster management .
