Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation - A Self Rescuing Device

Abstract

Cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a life saving technique for many cardiac emergency patients. A simple, portable, cost effective and self assisting CPR device plays an important role in the lives of millions. Self rescuing CPR device continuously monitors the heart beat of the patient with an earlobe sensor. If the heart beat goes beyond the normal value it provides chest compression of constant quality through the chest belt enclosed with motors. The mouth piece is supported by means of autoclave to provide ventilation within the conscious time. Immediate medical care is given to the patients by sending the coded message to the programmed number using the Global System for Mobile communication (GSM) technology. The location of the patient is identified by means of Global Positioning System (GPS) technology and the patient can be taken to the hospital for speedy recovery.
