Face Recognition under varying illumination with Local binary pattern

Abstract

Robust face recognition system in uncontrolled environment is still a major challenge. Finding efficient facial features to represent the face appearance is the most critical aspect in face recognition. In this work, we extract the local feature those are insensitive to the illumination variation by using LBP ,Performance of LBP is again compare with Local ternary pattern. We have used Distance transform metric and k-mean as a classifier.
