Implementation of an Innovative Converting Topology for AC Drives
In renewable energy applications, the multiple-input bidirectional dc-dc converter can be used to combine different types of energy sources. Generally, the power generation with renewable energy sources is a discontinuous process and in most of the cases it depends on the environment. Feeding in the produced energy into a distribution system influences the overall energy flow. Therefore, it is a challenge to control and keep the energy stabilised. To improve the energy quality, most of the renewable energy systems include an energy storage element charged by the bidirectional DC-DC converter. The paper proposes the bidirectional DC-DC converter which employs the two bridge configuration resonant class-E converters on the both sides of the isolating transformer. The development and testing of a bidirectional fly-back dc–dc converter for hybrid electric vehicle is described in this paper. Simple hysteresis voltage control is used for dc-link voltage regulation. The simulation results are presented, and modeling the circuit by using MATLAB/SIMULINK Platform.
