Modified Enhanced Stable Election Based Routing Protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks

Abstract

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are expected to find wide applicability and increasing deployment in near future. There are a few protocols using sensor clusters to coordinate the energy consumption in a WSN. In this paper, we propose a Modified Enhanced Stable Election Based Routing Protocol for WSNs. The proposed protocol which is an extension of the Enhanced Stable Election Protocol (ESEP), considers the residual energy and ensures the maximum network life time.
