Nutrition and its importance
Abstract
Are we getting proper nutrition from what we are eating currently? To match with the RDA given by WHO each individual needs to consume at least 5-9 servings of fresh veggies and fruits every day. But how many people are doing it? WHO recommends fruits and vegetables because of the contents in them called phytonutrients. Approximately 75% of the world’s population are not getting the recommended amount of nutrients to the body. Hence there is a huge nutritional gap between the recommended amount of nutrients and the amount of nutrients we are getting from the diet. So, I will be trying to share my views about how to try and fill that gap so that we will meet up with the recommended amount of nutrients to the body.
