Progression of Green Chemistry in the Synthesis of Bioactive Compounds for Neurological Disorders
Abstract
Green chemistry in the synthesis of bioactive compounds for neurological disorders represents an innovative approach that merges sustainable practices with state-of-the-art pharmacological research. Neurological disorders, such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and multiple sclerosis, are major health concerns, with millions of people affected worldwide. The treatment of these disorders involves the use of synthetic drugs, but their development typically relies on traditional chemical processes that can be harmful to the environment.
