Computer Engineering also known as software engineering is a discipline that integrates several fields of electrical engineering and computer science required to develop computer hardware and software. It provides the knowledge and skills necessary to advance and develop new paradigms for the design, integration, testing, evaluation and deployment of state-of-the-art hardware and software systems that include computing, communications and networking, control functions, sensing, signal processing and actuation. Computer engineers are concerned with analyzing and solving computer-oriented problems.
